Sunlit Trees

As we walked along Little Beach this morning with the dogs, I could not help noticing just how clearly the strong February sunlight was highlighting this particular group of trees among all the rest of the fir trees. The reason for this is because there is a copse behind this particular group of trees allowing the side-lighting to penetrate. It is sometimes difficult to capture this effect photographically as the contrast is so marked.
