The frosted planets

The weather this week has been abysmal. Snow and rain and snow, all in one day. Leading to an interesting crusty surface.

Fridays always find me tired, but after a nap with the cat, I was ready to watch PSO perform Holst's the Planets. This piece is so amazingly gorgeous but this was the first I'd heard it live. It was so very moving - beyond words. Perhaps even far beyond the images from NASA choreographed to the musicians' melodies.

Just gorgeous.
