After driving for one and a half hour it was a nice surprise to see the Northern Lights for a short time and be able to take some photos. The weather was great -6°C, no wind and it was so quiet ... the only sound I heard was the sound of the ice on the river cracking. I love those moments when it´s like your the only person awake.

Just noticed that almost a year ago ... on the 11th of February 2013 my image on blipfoto was also the Northern Lights. Different place, color and form but always stunning and breathtaking experience.
