Funny coin

Found this coin in a drawer at work. At first glance it looked like an old 5p coin, and though it has the queen's effigy on one side the other side was not right at all. On closer inspection it turned out to be an Australian 10c coin. I found it next to an old German DM which was also almost exactly the same size and colour as it and the UK 5p coin.
