Marlborough Sounds

Today we left Nelson in the rain and traveled home to Timaru almost 600km over very tight narrow and windy roads. We stopped along the way first was Havelock then we traveled to Picton via Queen Charlotte Drive, a beautiful scenic drive. Just up the Road in Okiwa Bay is The Grove where I shot this image. Lots of tiny fish were swimming about and some even jumped out of the water. We also saw a small Stingray which was quite exciting. Next stop was Picton where we had a cold drink a wander along the harbour and saw another Stingray this time it was feeding on a small fish. Sorry to our Blippers in Picton and Marlborough would have loved to catch up but time did not allow today. Then on to Blenheim where we ate a sandwich at the Cob Cottage and then home James, stopping along the way to take some photographs. This has been the longest holiday I have ever had and really enjoyed it. We travelled close to 3000km in 7 days and I averaged 75 photos per day. MrsPuff does a good job of finding the little obscure out of the way places. We are thinking of doing it again next year and would like to do it in a camper van.
