Vandalism

I was disappointed to see damage to this piece of architecture.

The New Lane railway bridge at Claughton near Preston carries the road over the West Coast mainline. The bridge parapet has a Brockholes Badger crest on each end of both parapets, all four of the crests had been splashed with red paint.

I'm not sure what the significance of the damage is or if it is some form of protest.

The badger crest appears around the area and is the sign of the local estate, the crests were supposed to be originally made of brass and kept disappearing so now they are cast in cement.
