How now brown cow

Well we made it away and we now have our feet up in the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora. It was a lovely drive with snow on the mountain tops and luckily none at ground level. The sun was shining and we drove along the road next to loch Fleet. The tide was in and the reflections looked really good. There were plenty of ducks swimming about and the waders were right on the edge. One heron stood proudly on a rock and flew off into the field by the ruined castle.
After a trip into Dornoch to pick up some lunch from Harry Gows , tomato soup and a chicken roll , we drove to the beach car park to eat it. Plenty of golfers were out playing and a Dad, his son and a dog were playing on the beach. It was nice to watch the waves rolling in.
We had an enjoyable but cold walk along at Little Ferry finding heart shaped stones and watching the Oyster catchers feeding and the ducks being swept back out to sea.
This very handsome Highland cow was standing by the fence. If you look closely you see it's blowing bubbles.
Looking forward to a four course valentines dinner, the choice is going to be difficult as I like it ALL :)
