Tribute to Leith Walk

How apposite that I decide to do t'other side of the bottom of the Walk (i.e. what remains of the famous Leith Central Station - a plot that has been empty so long as we've been here - it used to be a Job Centre) on the day that George Kerevan designates Leith Walk The Best Street In Scotland (deserves initial capitals). Well, I certainly agree with his conclusion - how could I not, with my #leithwalkshops series? But do I agree with his reason why it's the best - namely that it thrives because it's somehow escaped the dead hand of bureaucrats and town planning and regeneration specialists? Not so sure about that.

Anyway, returning to Leith Central Station, the corner lot is under renovation. I didn't manage to figure out what it's going to be, but anything will be an improvement on an empty Job Centre...

Another day spent reading and then trying to remember how to apply some rather rusty analytical skills. And no, I don't mean, how to make a 'prezi'. Rather, how to generate the material to put in it... But we slipped out this morning for a walk, and to get the messages. Mind you, the fridge is still pretty empty. And it's mighty irritating being without a car. We'll be getting a City Car Club car tomorrow.
