Spring flowers

Went for a walk along the River Nairn this morning. It is such a pleasant place, the river is lovely and the area is full of wildlife and flowers.

Today we saw swans, long tailed tits, a red squirrel, rabbits, a bullfinch, a woodpecker, a red-breasted merganser and a tree creeper! And also this beautiful patch of snowdrops and aconites. The aconites aren't quite at their best just yet, so if you're passing Nairn in the next week or so you've time to go and see them for yourselves. For those from further afield I will have to try to blip them when they reach their prime :-)
