Come into the Gardens

Today was glorious, blue sky and sunshine all day, perfect for a long coastal walk.

We started at Brownsham and walked through Forest ravines, woodland, fields and parkland til we got to Clovelly Court - where this splendid blue gate leads into the gardens.

Then on to Clovelly, a steep, cobbled, car-free (they use sleds to move heavy loads!) fishing village spilling down the cliffs to a little harbour with a pub perched on the quay. We ate fish and chips for lunch then walked back along the coast path - lots of up and down!
