Evangelists

Matthew, Mark,Luke and John looking a bit washed out!
These faces are being prepared for restoration,they have succumbed to approximately 140 years of weathering and now its time to bring them back to life!
There are some visual clues left and traces of how they once looked which is a start!
I am however mindful of the famous 'restoration' of Christ's face in the famous Greek fresco by an unknown enthusiastic wee greek woman a couple of years ago!
