Conference Day

I toddled up to Cambridge today to attend the last day of a three day regional housing conference. Came away with bagfuls of freebies - mugs, bags, pens, usb sticks, wildflower seeds and a tree! (well it's only a twig at the moment but one day it will be a silver birch!!

Two excellent speakers Imogen Parry who knows her stuff on sheltered and older peoples housing this morning and Terry Waite sharing his experiences about his time as a hostage and his work as a negotiator - powerful stuff which kinda puts everyday upsets and disappointments into perspective.

Time to catch up with a few people and network with new contacts, also a friend from my personal life who has popped up once or twice in my work life was fronting one of the exhibition stands!

Rounded off the day with a 30 min run in the rain - very refreshing. All in all a good day!

Now for dinner and a glass of chilled white I think........
