Wednesday 11 November 2009: Positive Thinking

I've been amazed at the reactions I get when I say I'm having an operation on Tuesday.

There are two distinct camps people fall into:
** The 'Oh No! group, and
** the 'Fantastic' set.

It strikes me that many people think of operations as a bad thing. I'd never thought of it like that before?

I'm firmly in the fantastic set. My view is that an operation is a sign that some damage the person has done is about to be fixed - and that can only be a good thing.

I am always interested in seeing how others think, but on this occasion I think I'll stick my my viewpoint. Positive thinking and all that...
