Was It Really So Long Ago

All Mod Cons

We spent today in Felixstowe, starting with a visit to Fabric8 for some er fabric. It was the reason for Felixstowe being the chosen destination as opposed to a nearer beach, which itself was something of an afterthought on my part as the day was forecast to be bright and sunny. Naturally, the small people were keen to meet soles with sand and to spread those grains throughout their clothing. They ran around on the beach. It was cold, but bright so naturally, coats were piled onto the waiting parent's knees and off they went to gather stones. Being as they were, lacking in buckets and spades, a nappy bag combined with hands had to suffice.

On our way across the promenade, I couldn't help noticing these gleaming machines, parked along the side of the road, reminiscent of a sight from 50 years ago. Before we left the beach in search of lunch, the owners returned to their rides, dressed and aged very authentically.

I hope you like it.
