At The Barber's

I couldn't help but remind myself of Chekhov's short story while succumbing to this most pleasurable of times - at the barber's.
The small talk is always on a positive note, searching and finding similarities in viewpoints, ending with a clean shaven neck and the pleasant tickle of the brush (a treat probably unknown to the ladies but they have other pamperings anyway).

Ben is Iranian, single and still looking for the right girl. "Skin colour and religion don't matter!", he says. "What's important is the heart!"
Another lesson of the day I learnt was about the three Ws that may change at any time - women, weather and wealth.

...It's just starting to rain now (and the day started sunny and bright).
Can't wait to grow some more hair and return to my newly found source of wisdom.
