Spring in the air

The thermometer measured a bit over +6° C in Pirkkala today. Temperature readings for the beginning of February were 6 to 8 degrees warmer than average. In many parts of the country the last time such warm average temperatures were recorded was 1990, so it's warmest February for 24 years! And we don't have any snow left.

Me and Emma had a girls' trip to Tampere today. We headed to a fabric store to buy material for projects we have planned. Emma will sew a dress and I'll sew a blouse from the famous Yoshiko Tsukiori's dress books ( we have two of her books Sweet Dress Book and Stylish Dress Book). We had a lovely lunch in a waffle cafe and after that we did some shopping. In the picture Emma is waiting for an elevator in the basement floor of Stockmann department store. She has thickest hair I've ever seen.

Last Saturday when Leevi had fever over 39° C, he said that he'll be recovered by Monday. I didn't believe him at all, but he was right - no fever today! Amazing.

Emma and J went bowling again, this time with Tommi's family. Practice helped, this time they scored much better than yesterday.

We had very late dinner -- I'm a lucky girl, because hubby prepares us gourmet food. We learned from the Image magazine that ginger and organic lemon are the most trendy ingredients this year. Avocado pasta is still topical dish according the Image, we had it with lemon, ginger, spinach and salmon tonight with tasty Alsace Gentil Hugel.
