They're the very first cones on our row of conifers edging the car parking area, but they are rather large in relation to the trees.

We bought twelve trees about three years ago, and all except one have done well and are now about four feet high. We know them as 'welcome trees' as they are commonly planted around the entrances to properties, but they may be a form of cypressus.
