Just Desserts

K drives us up to Crickhowell today to meet up with friends in the Healer group. Haven't seen some of them for best part of a year, this is our delayed "Christmas" meal.

Fields still flooded and spilling onto the road at the approach to Abergavenny, but seems to be receding now. I take the opportunity to watch the world go by as K drives.

We have a table reserved for the eight of us, tucked away where we can make as much noise as we like. Plenty of chatter, giggling and gossiping around the table. Great to catch up with them and hear what's going on with the rest of the group who didn't make it here today, K and I are now known as Lord and Lady Lucan for our "disappearing" act, we've been out of circulation for so long.

The Bear is a wonderful pub and eating place right in the middle of Crickhowell. Food is excellent and the atmosphere is laid back. Just the place to enjoy time with friends. B asks if I've been in any more films or on TV - not this year - puts away her autograph book [h ha].

The hours pass so quickly, it's soon 3pm and time to get back to the other world. Wales play France tonight, give the club a miss as it's usually heaving on international match nights. A pleasing end to an enjoyable day as Wales clock up a respectable score and a good performance.
