Brits Abroad

A very pleasant evening spent in the company of other ex-pats in a very British style pub. The landlord had spent time in Clapham and seems to have been successful in replicating a half decent pub menu. Serving draft Guinness , real ale and a particularly potent mulled wine accompanied by impressive food choices which included Shepherds Pie, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, Cornish pasties, sausage, egg and chips as well as apple crumble and custard kept most of us happy (and quiet) for a couple of hours. Shame it's the size of a shoebox!

We travel, initially, to lose ourselves, and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again—to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more.
