My recorder

It's a Woodnote alto recorder. It has a beautiful tone and some people have said it sounds flute-like. I bought it about a year ago and have been teaching myself to play. I didn't appreciate the differences between the various types of recorder when I bought it, so taught myself using the fingering for the treble/tenor instead of the alto - which means I play in a slightly different key from what appears on the page! But it sounds fine, I'm happy with it, I'm not planning to play in a recorder consort and I don't think I could cope with re-learning a different fingering. At the end of the day, it just means I have a unique and slightly different 'voice', which suits me down to the ground.
