A Positively Pusillanimous Pony

Today marks the start of a new month's worth of challenges. This time, focusing on vocabulary. Today's word is Pusillanimous ~ an adjective meaning "lacking courage or resolution; cowardly; faint-hearted; timid."

We wandered through Boston Common and the Public Garden in search of pusillanimous squirrels, but they are all shameless beggars, and not in the slightest bit timid. So, onward to the Museum of Fine Art, where I came across this splendidly over the top faint-hearted horse in John Singleton Copley's 1798 painting, Saul Reproved by Samuel for Not Obeying the Commandments of the Lord. Perfectly Pusillanimous!
