Treasure Island

Fidra Island is said to have inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, it is a craggy uninhabited island off the coast of East Lothian between North Berwick and Gullane.

We walked the coastal path between North Berwick and Gullane with our friends Jen and Ian. I didn't realise the sandy beaches extended so far, it was a beautiful day with stunning views. It's only about 8.5 miles but walking through sand it seemed much further! We timed it just right and arrived in Gullane as it started to rain and got lunch, and some of the last cakes left, at Falko a really nice German bakery before catching the bus back to North Berwick.
