Visiting Cornell University

I am in Ithaca, New York with a colleague from York University to attend the Northeast Science and Technology Studies (NESTS) Graduate Student Conference at Cornell University. This view of McGraw Hall is part of the panoramic view out the window of the room in the Physical Sciences Building where the conference is being held. Stimulating and fascinating discussions. I'm up Sunday afternoon and will be talking about my Van de Graaff and High Voltage Engineering Corporation research about early venture capitalism, scientific entrepreneurship, and manufacturing particle accelerators.

The skies were grey but the roads were dry. Not much snow here compared to Ontario which lies buried under a metre of hard-packed snow.
