Great Wall of Glanlough

Just back from a great hike/blipmeet -the west Cork Massive (TJ , Bat , Himself , Caroline L rendezvoused at Glanlough where we were fed delicious pumpkin soup and Life Changing bread (that's really what it was called, packed full of goodies) . Thus fuelled we headed off into the mizzle and up into the mountain. It was damp and incredibly boggy but the views were sublime - strange clouds, russet vegetation and a lot of bog. We skidded and squelched up towards the Great Wall of Glanlough - huge slabs of stones snaking over the mountain.Various interesting houses were passed dotted here and there and much speculation as to whether they might be inhabited or not. We met no-one. It was blissful and we returned wrecked to a well deserved cuppa and slice of homemaded flapjack. Thank you TJ.
