Garden visitor

I have been wanting to catch one of these for a while, but they have inevitably alluded me. They often flit around in my neighbour's tree, which provides shade to one corner of my garden, twittering away, but rarely hang around long enough for me to accurately identify them, never mind photographing them.

Today, it seems, my luck changed, and this beautiful fellow hung around long enough for me to get a shot. I didn't even realise it was a goldfinch until I saw it through my lens!
