Mermaid Hair

Darwin may have been quite correct in his theory that man descended from the apes of the forest, but surely woman rose from the frothy sea, as resplendent as Aphrodite on her scalloped chariot.

Well possibly but surely evidence here that a mermaid had swum by not long before.
A fabulous day!! The sun is still shining, it is warm, there are birds and bees and butterflies. I should have been slaving over a hot book or a tangled garden, instead we abandoned everything and went out for a walk -down the path of soaring copper beeches, under the ivy strewn bridge, passed the little quay with clear turquoise water and coils of rope, out along the headland in search of otters but scaring snipe. Home and beetroot, more peas, beans and mangetout have been planted.
Apologies for lack of comments but out tonight to attend a talk on Lough Hyne - a freshwater lake, many fathoms deep and full of unique and interesting things.

Oh, and a bit of a disaster. I've had to borrow Himself's spare camera. Mine suddenly came up with a lens error message, the lens won't go back in. It makes alarming noises and is telling me to re start everything. I'll contact the Canon helpline tomorrow.

And son#2 has just reached his 300th blip!
