Saint Laurent de la Salanque

Here's the Town Hall of the village we're staying in this weekend - Saint Laurent de la Salanque, which is close to Perpignan, near the French/Spanish Border.

As you can see from that sky, the weather is somewhat warmer than at this time of year in Edinburgh ... dreadful ;-)

So, tonight was the main Birthday Celebration, and an excellent time was had by all --- such a pity that Scotland didn't quite pull off that Rugby victory before the evening meal ... the numerous French folk in the bar where we watched the game looked seriously worried, until that last penalty, of course :-(

But --- it didn't seriously dampen the party-spirit; and the subsequent Birthday-meal, and general celebrations, were great fun.

And, earlier in the day, my better-half and I had a lovely relaxing time just wandering around the village (and surrounding area) doing nothing in particular ... even more dreadful due to that weather ;-)

All-in-all, a terrible day :-))
