Waterfoot Sunrise

Sun in the West

After missing the beautiful sunset on the west coast of Kintyre yesterday, I was on the look out for any excuse to make a trip over to the other side of the peninsula this evening.

The offer to take Mrs B out for her dinner to the Putechan Lodge was unlikely to be refused and, in addition, we had half a pig to collect from a local farmer. Excuse sorted. All I needed now were the right conditions. Unfortunately, the clouds had dispersed and all that was left was a thick haze on the western horizon. However, the thin cloud made the perfect filter for the shape of the sun to be seen clearly as it sank lower in the sky, before disappearing from sight.

Played around with a number of blips, but this is the one Mrs B liked. Who am I to go against her judgement?
