Last of the big leeks

These are going into a vegetarian lasagne that I will be making tomorrow for Saturday eve. I always think lasagne is better when made the day before.
It's a gorgeously calm and sunny afternoon up here at our allotment. The birds are giving a concert and there is a faint sound of earth being dug and bones creaking.
