Police Scotland Day 348 - New baby on the beat

Huge congratulations to a local East Kilbride couple who – thanks to a little assistance from the pictured Police Scotland police officers – are the parents of a new bouncing baby boy.

Police Scotland Sergeant John Hendry, Constable Sarah Deary, and Police Custody and Security Officer Lynn Docherty from Cathcart police office in Glasgow, went above and beyond the call of duty late on Wednesday 12 March when they came to the rescue of heavily pregnant 25-year-old woman – and delivered her baby boy in the back of a taxi!
