Culture, crabs and coffee!!

What a glorious day it has been today!
We started the day with a little bit of culture by visiting Osborne House which was Queen Victorias private resident and also where she died in 1901.
We followed this by having a lovely lunch at the Crab and Lobster Inn. And what did we have for lunch??? Crab and lobster of course plus prawns, mussels and whitebait. We sat outside in the lovely sunshine and a view of the open sea.
We then had a little walk around the quaint old village of Shanklin before driving onto Ventnor for coffee in the afternoon sun again looking out across the beach. Now back at the hotel for half hour chill before going out for dinner. . . I think weekends away should be compulsory once a month!!!

The blip is from Osborne House looking across the Solent and in the distance we could see the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.
