Goodbye Polofield

Work has begun on building a "main" road to the Polofield where more than fifty houses will soon replace a wonderful green space. The original road to this field starts at the gateway on the right to Laverockdale. Everything to the left was undisturbed woodland until a few days ago. I think it's ironic that one of the posters on this board is about wildlife and conservation.

According to the plan, there will still be a footpath to the Pentland Hills, but it will be a narrow corridor and not the lovely green field of before.
