Saturday 28 November 2009: Virginia Court
The cold is getting better thanks.
I visited the new Hamleys store in Glasgow today. Very impressive but a bit too busy.
I stopped briefly to see how things were progressing at Virginia Court/ Virginia Galleries. This promises to be a great place to visit in the future. The area is steeped in history and dates back to the 1700s when many of the existing buildings housed the offices and auction rooms of the city's famous tobacco lords.
Thr courtyard has a block of 1 and 2 bedromed flats and will house a selection of new build and traditional shops, linking the shopping areas around Princes Square with Candleriggs, creating a golden shopping triangle and café society.
