Coccinellidae - Ladybird

We have been gardening today, and I found this delightful little ladybird snuggling in the campanula leaves. In the paper today there was an article on the Ladybird. Apparently research now show that they can stay in the air for up to 2 hours, can fly as far as 74 miles in one go, reaching speeds up to 37 mph! It was having a well deserved rest then, and long may he last, as he will east the aphids. Vectensian found the first greenfly this week!!!
