Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Little Red Robin Hood's granny

Busy day.
A morning workshop with the Grand Master of Chen style Tai Chi who comes here among other places in the US once a year from his small village in China to teach all levels. He's wonderful. My legs are very tired :-)
Lovely long lunch out to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday.
And tonight, we went to Granddaughter Tatum’s 4th-5th grade play, Little Red Robin Hood, a very funny story about fairy tale characters that are all mixed up. I rather liked the big bad wolf and the naughty hams, Prince John (who gets talked into an invisible suit by Cinderella’s wicked sisters) and the Merry Men, and the four grannies (Little Red’s granny, the Old woman who lived in a shoe, Mother goose and Mother Hubbard) who live in Sherwood Estates, a retirement condominium in Sherwood forest where they are playing cards. (here, 3 of them) !! It took me a minute to even recognize Tatum as Little Red’s granny! Hilarious. I recognized some of her lines from Fiona who was reciting them for us yesterday, “Mind your Manners” and “you’re nearly naked!”

A few more of the play on flickr...
