aw, bless :-)

aren't they sweet? meet mr & mrs casey :-) it was an odd little day in a way - i've never met the bride, tho they've been together for several years, as i've never been to leeds since they got together and they've never been to edinburgh or northumberland when i have. (i even managed to miss them when we were both in christchurch, new zealand, believe it or not.) i have seen neal in that time tho, albeit intermittently - but i'd like to think that even if i hadn't i'd still have been invited; after all, we go waaaaaay back :-)

terrifyingly enough, we go all the way back to - well, i'll say about 16, tho he may well say earlier, him being aware of me far before i was ever aware of him! but we were a sicklysweet teenage couple for a fair while, then split up acrimoniously, then became friends again (even tho he went out with my so-called best pal briefly). and thankfully have stayed friends ever since, cos he's one of the sweetest (if most annoyingly indecisive) chaps i know. the boy did good in snapping up miss ellie, as she's smart, cool and funny - but she did ok from the deal too.

not many people there that i knew, but those who were it was good to see (for the first time in, hmm, 18 years?). and in general it was good to be there to see someone important to me be very happy - oh, and that has to be the best best man speech i've heard, nice one teddyboy.

all the best, babe, you deserve it!

this latest chunk of backblipping begins here, btw
