Rhythms

It's been windy and chilly most of the day. I was so cold that I built an unseasonable fire and sat cozily reading for awhile. The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan. All the books I had reserved at the library came in at once, as they always do for some reason. Because they are popular they may not be renewed, so I have three weeks and four good books.

In the afternoon I played ukulele and sang with a couple friends. I hadn't played in months and months, and it was so much fun, and so exhausting to struggle with reading the music and playing together and trying to sing a recognizable melody. We are sure it is keeping our minds nimble.
