Little squirrel, big junk

Normally, I do not notice (much less comment on) a squirrel's junk (to use the current vernacular) except to identify if the squirrel is a male or a female squirrel (for naming purposes, of course). This red squirrel (one of the reds, that is) came around barking and spazzing around per usual so I tossed out some peanuts. He took off with it and sat himself down to have a munch and display his nethers.

Red squirrels in this part of North America are quite small - about half the size of regular Eastern grey squirrels (which also come in all-black coats) and about twice the size of a chipmunk. Our reds, aside from colouring, are not much like Eurasian red (fox) squirrels.
