Anfractuous

Last evening was a disaster from start to finish.

The buses are only every half hour from here to Newcastle after 6pm so not much choice to get to the match. I went out for a bus which was due at 6.40pm - and it arrived at 7.15pm. When I got to Newcastle I fairly flew through the town and arrived at St James Park 2 minutes after kick off. Phew.

Newcastle seemed to be playing OK - ish in the first half but they didn't get the ball in the net. They didn't score in the second half either. Final score Everton 3 - Newcastle 0. Disappointing to say the least.

Made a quick exit from the ground and straight to the bus station. Hoards of folk there all wanting to get home. Massive queue for my bus. Only just got on before the driver closed the doors - leaving some folk behind. As this bus only runs once an hour it would mean a long wait for those who didn't get on. The bus was very noisy with football fans - such a lot of bad language. The traffic was bad and it took the bus over 25 mins to get to the bridge over the Tyne - normally takes about 5 mins. No - one offered me a seat so I had to stand all the way home - a journey which took nearly an hour. Got home about 10.40pm - quite exhausted.

Early start today - a trip to Morrisons with my friend Jan. The weather was sunny first thing but quite chilly.

Just been pottering around at home for the rest of the day and catching up on TV viewing.

Today's Forum Challenge word is Anfractuous which means full of twists and turns, convoluted, winding. I have chosen to blip this decorative ball made from willow. It's certainly twisty and convoluted.
