Crosby Garrett Roman Parade Helmet

The Crosby Garrett Roman helmet was found on the fells of Crosby Garrett in Cumbria in 2010 and sold at auction.

It is on display at the British Museum, having been displayed at Tullie House Museum, Carlisle.

The helmet was not used in normal combat but is a example of the spectacular bronze face-mask visor-helmets used in special events known as 'cavalry sports'.
