Making a start

Started the shawl for my friend. It's a drop stitch pattern so at the end of every pattern repeat you drop a stitch and pull it out to the bottom to give this lace effect. It looks really nice with the shades in the yarn, though it's tending to curl at the ends. Hopefully it will straighten out when I block it.
