Saturday 5 December 2009: Deck the Halls
The island xmas tree was lit tonight. Lots of kids and lanterns and twinkly lights followed by a family quiz in the hall, mulled wine, mince pies, raffle etc, etc.
The tree in the pic isn't the outside one, my pics of that had a black cat in a coal cellar effect. This is the one inside the hall and it's blurry because I was too busy laughing to focus.
The hall committee did a fabulous job of decorating the hall. It was beautiful, an abundance of white lights, greenery and fairy dust... magical. It's amazing to the think that this is probably happening in village halls all over the world.
A huge Merry Christmas to all those volunteers that make the festive season sparkle.
