spotted in Kinsale

An easier day. A sunny morning at home in the veg garden. We are making a few changes and re-doing some of the gravel paths, reducing the size of some of the beds and moving them away from the hedges. Today we were putting down builder's plastic on the paths, to be covered in gravel eventually.
It turned into a more complicated job than we thought and we didn't get finished before the wintry showers started.
This afternoon we drove out to a village near Kinsale to collect a very fine cockerel I have been given - a pure bred gold laced wyandotte, very handsome, to inject some new blood into my little flock.
While we were in the area we went for a quick walk around Kinsale town and stopped off for coffee and cake.
