Friday 29 June 2007: Un éléphant?
In Guilin (pronounced "gway-lynn").
The mountain in the foreground is supposed to look like an elephant. We can't really see the shape, but the point of this picture was to show that the other mountain in the background looks much more like an elephant. Unfortunately, I was there to work and not exclusively for leisure, so I didn't get the chance to see it from up-close.
For those who are thinking of visiting China, I cannot recommend enough the province of Guangxi. Small mountains that seem to have sprouted everywhere, blue sky; almost no pollution. It really is beautiful. And the 31 RMB to get access to the "elephant" mountain........ meh, not that worth it.
