Being WildCardinal...

Buttock

The last day in the LPH house (we're all being evicted tomorrow).

The weather forecast wasn't too promising, predicting wet and quite windy weather but better in the east. After much discussion (and gentle guidance from John) we settled on heading over to the area between Buttermere and Crummock - known as Buttock by locals apparently.

The day did start damp and drizzley but soon cleared up much to my relief - I'll take photos in the rain, but much prefer the dry. Sticking to the woodland while it was wet was a little frustrating as I'm one of the wider landscape, but once up at the end of Crummock I was much happier.

This was taken while walking back at the end, looking across and through to the end of Buttermere with Fleetwith Pike on the left and Haystacks on the right.

Back home tomorrow. Been a great week up here as always.
