Chip

The windscreen was hit by a stone when we were driving to Devon. We rang Autoglass from the hotel and they said that if the chip (including the cracks) fell within a pound coin, that they could repair it. (What looks like a longer crack in my shot is the phone wire in the sky.). The man duly arrived and said there was was a strong chance that the windscreen would shatter if he attempted to repair it. They couldn't get a replacement screen for at least a week either, so we decided with a 70 per cent of the repair failing, that we had no choice but to drive home.
I'd just like to say Autoglass neither "repaired or replaced" within a reasonable time.
This is it when we got safely home.
