Morning cloud

The weather forecast promised morning and evening cloud today, and from up here on the hill, we've mostly looked down on it. This image was taken in the same direction as last night's shot, but from higher up the hill. I was too late for the red clouds at sunrise, but the more subtle colours in the sky opposite the sun were beautiful, giving the mountains a pink glow. It is the patch of sunlight on the hillside, though, that brings the image to life.
