For the sons....

..... who love this place and have ventued a lot closer than this in pursuit of their art!
Bright and breezy and a lovely day. A cuppa in bed and presents of a large pot of thyme and a book on ruined Irish mansions as gifts for mothers' day from Himself. How well he knows me! Follwed by two skyping sessions with the sons - both remarkably early for a sunday morning, especially when the clocks have gone forward. Son#1 is astonished to find he no longer can manage a hefty lie-in! All good.
We pottered in the morning then went down to Gortnakilla for a bit of a blow in the afternoon. The colours were gob-smacking. We stopped several times on the way and just stared. Other people were doing the same thing and conversations flowed - all very jolly and good natured and nothing like a bit of sunshine and scnery to perk people up. A couple and their teenage daughter were out for a spin - she even managed to come off facebook for a few moments and take some pix. I offered to take a photo of all three of them then wished I hadn't as I was confronted with an iphone and hadn't a clue what to do!
Gortnakilla was glorious. The colours, the clouds, the waves and we perched near the edge to watch the blowhole in action - highly impressive and lots of whumpy whooshy noises. And there was another photographer there too!
And son#2 has a photo on the front page of a magazine, and more inside But no credit which is understandably infuriating.
And a happy Mothers' Day to all celebrating it.
Sorry, dithering - just changed my blip.
And you can see the results of the other blipper here.
