MONOMONDAY:(In)Action

This statue is outside Milton Keynes Railway Station. I was there today en route to visit Mum in hospital. Fingers crossed she's going home tomorrow.

The statue is called "O Wert Thou in the Cauld Blast", inspired by the poem by Robert Burns and handcarved from Scottish granite. It was purchased by the Commission for the New Towns in 1984. I didn't see the name of the sculptor, and I expect a few less-than-polite comments have been made over the years about the cold blasts that blow round the centre of Milton Keynes!

Huge thanks to all of you who helped send our Close-Knit Community Tree into the spotlight!
