Incessant rain all day. Met this guy with another worker putting up new decor in the little shelter/hut near the traffic lights at the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire. I'd driven out there briefly before heading to pick up the wean from after-school. Sea was choppy, pale grey-green, slopping and marbling the sea-wall below the pier. Earlier I'd taken Lola for a run by my other route, up the avenue and around onto the Stillorgan/Bray road before turning down my old road, Stillorgan Grove.
